Are you looking for and engaging creative way to teach personality in your psychology classroom?
This Personality, the ID, Ego and Superego in Psychology Activity Includes:
1) Two engaging pages about Sigmund Freud and the id, ego, and superego. Students are first asked questions about Psychoanalysis and the idea of free association. Next they will label the ID, EGO and SUPEREGO on a head of Homer Simpson. There is an angel and a devil on each of his shoulders and they need to identify which represents each of the three entities.
Next students will fill out another Homer Simpson themed graphic organizer that asks students to identify what the ID, EGO and SUPEREGO would do in certain situations such as greed, hunger and sharing. Your students will get a kick out of the Homer Simpson imagery used in the activity.
The final page to the activity includes work on self-actualization. Students will be asked probing questions about themselves and have to fill out a trait list about themselves. This can be a great discussion starter for class and allow students to identify who they are.
2) An answer key to the lesson activities to save you time and help guide student comprehension.
