This is the very first lesson I teach in my high school Advanced 2D Art class. Because this visual art course is one of the highest levels, I get my students nice, hardback sketchbooks. This lesson focuses on personalizing the sketchbooks to reflects each student's artistic style.

This lesson pack includes a lesson plan with big idea, essential questions, objectives, national standards, supply list, step by step instructions, rubric, and brainstorming worksheet.

This lesson can be adapted for those on a budget.
