Are you looking for a fun engaging way to teach students about perspective and point of view?
This student activity asks students to imagine they are walking home from school when they (surprise!) find a lost cell phone. They check the “frequent contacts” and find a number for a home phone. The phone is returned to its owner. As a result, they are granted one free phone call! They can call ANYONE - living or deceased - real or imaginary. However, the phone call can last ONLY five minutes.
The lesson includes:
Perspective and point of view anchor chart
Designing interview questions that require deeper critical thinking
Summarizing a conversation
Speaking from another perspective/point of view (stepping into the shoes of another)
Dialogue, speech and thought bubbles
