This student activity asks students to imagine they are walking home from school when they (surprise) find a lost cell phone. They check the “frequent contacts” and find a number for a home phone. The phone is returned to its owner. As a result, they are granted one free phone call! They can call anyone - living or deceased - real or imaginary. The phone call can last only five minutes.
The lesson includes:
Perspective and point of view anchor chart.
Designing interview questions.
Summarizing a conversation.
Speaking from another perspective/point of view (stepping into the shoes of another).
Dialogue, speech, and thought bubbles.
Smart and so much fun!
