Playing with Perspectives is a great activity for any Reading or English class. The difficulty can be adjusted to suit high school students or even elementary students.
The activity uses 5 fairy tales (each with a short overview just in case). The students must rewrite the story from the perspective of a person (for the most part not involved in the story) and explain what they think and feel about the situation. The activity requires students to think outside the box, create tone, and formulate opinions and biases for the perspectives. It's a great way to get the kids to think from a different point of view and use their creativity.
The handouts come with a 1-4 rubric at the end with several categories. Due to the nature of the activity, an answer key does not apply.
