This slideshow introduces the four fundamental ways of showing perspective: Linear Perspective, Atmospheric Perspective, Scale or Size and Overlapping. It introduces each perspective term with vibrant visuals that really demonstrate the term and give the students a better understanding of it. There are examples of artwork and real life images that also show the different forms of perspective.
The slideshow concludes with a painting that shows all forms of perspective, where I have the students identify what they are. Then it shows a brief demonstration of how to draw a form in perspective, giving a seamless introduction into doing so in class.
This PowerPoint presentation is great to combine with my One and Two Point Perspective Drawing Worksheet that is also available in my store. I use this presentation for high school art students and photography students, but could also be used for middle school.
