I'm working on a longer workbook of perspective taking cartoons, but in the meantime, wanted to add this free sample cartoon!
This simple cartoon story is designed to work on perspective taking and Theory of Mind skills in a concrete, visual format. Students consider what the characters see, think, know, and feel, based on what the characters have seen and heard. The story also incorporates a "false belief task", where students must predict when a character believes something that is not actually true. This can be a very difficult perspective taking skill for children with autism, social language delay, and related disorders!
This story can be used "No print / No Prep" style on a tablet or computer that opens PDFs. It also consists of simple black and white line drawings for easy, low-ink printing. Enjoy! :)
