This product consists of a 20 minute illustrated talk on the topic of Jane Austen's philosophy of virtue as it relates to her novels in general and 'Persuasion' in particular. The author's moral messages and ideology are thoughtfully and thoroughly explored and examples are provided from several of the novels but particularly from 'Persuasion'. The talk illuminates how Jane Austen was not only concerned with showing us how to love well but also how to live well. The resource should promote discussion and debate around ethical and moral concerns past, present and future and the influence they have on the pursuit of happiness.
