This graphic organizer lays out the components of a persuasive essay with prompts designed to remind students of the function of each component of a thesis-driven essay. Printed on legal-sized paper, this organizer allows students to view their essay in one glance, affording them ease of drafting, editing, and revision.
This piece was also created with the teacher in mind-- one can see how far a student is in the essay process in a glance around the room, as well as make comments efficiently and all on one page (though the organizer is double-sided for more prolific writers).
This is a great addtion to anyone teaching the research paper, literary analysis, or any peruasive-based text. It has revolutionized the writing process in my classroom. I have MANY lessons to augment this piece, including PPT shows detailed each of the nine components of an essay.
