Your students have been writing all year. Now you need a format that like a standard writing test. This document is for you.
There are 10 different persuasive writing topics. On the 1st page, you'll see the topic and a checklist that helps students include what they need in Ideas, Organization, Style, and Conventions.
The 2nd page is to organize ideas, such as a writing web or list of ideas. The 3rd and 4th pages are for the "sloppy copy" or rough draft. Finally, the 5th and 6th pages are for the "neat copy" or final draft.
You might choose to have your students use one of these practice writing tests once a month or as a great review before your school or state's writing test.
