Get students referring to text/non-persuasive text in order to write persuasively. Then, give them something to grab onto with this planner! For example, we read three articles about invasive species, chose the one that we felt was most invasive, and then used the planner to persuade the reader about our choice.
Students will read at least one non-persuasive text and begin filling in the paragraph planner. This planner frames sentences and transitions while prompting students to add quotes, paraphrasing, and inferences. It will require them to refer to the text which is just what we want! Designed for multiple uses, multi-use.
-use as part of a writing lesson
-use as part of reading/analysis lesson
-use to supplement ANY reading or writing program
