What do my students need to know before starting this project?
Students will need to know how to identify the central argument of a persuasive text and its structure.
They will need to be able to identify and quote evidence from a text.
They will need to know basic rhetorical fallacies (Bandwagon, Ad Hominem, Categorical Claim, Stereotyping, Exaggeration).
They will need to be able to identify explicit messages in persuasive advertisements.
They will need a basic understanding of tone and mood.
