This unit is designed to help groups learn about how a business team works to create a product. The end result is a presentation that will be peer graded for its persuasive power. This can be used as a competition between groups.
Teacher chooses CEOs. These are 5-6 students that have shown leadership skills.
CEOs pick teams.
Teams first decide on a business name.
Teams then "create" a product to sell. This product needs to be unique and useful to a large audience. Example: The Pizza Hut tennis shoe that has a button on the tongue to order pizza.
Teams then design posters, bumper stickers, pamphlets, etc. to advertise their product.
Teams will do a presentation using persuasive techniques (see rubric) The presentations will be peer graded (see rubric)
Propaganda techniques may also be included. (see rubric)
Students will vote individually for the best presentation.
