59 slides! A complete week or more of material! During the Age of Reason or Classicism, some of the most persuasive words and documents of our country's rich history were heard and written down. In the PowerPoint, students will be guided through 6 of the powerful techniques men like Henry, Franklin and Jefferson used to shape the country we now call the United States of America.
Use the a golf theme (don't worry, no knowledge required about golf), the techniques are all given their own unique club name and broken down with definitions and examples. The 6 clubs include the following: parallelism, rhetorical question, interjection, restatement, refrain, and concession to the opposition.
Also included in this PowerPoint are the following: notes, visuals, examples, an in class assignment (to complete concurrently with the notes), an out of class homework assignments, and a larger assignment.
I enjoyed engaging my student with this PowerPoint, and I hope the same is true for you!
