This is an organizer I have used in my classroom to help my students organize their arguments or reasons in persuasive writing.
The TOP speech bubble is where the student makes a clear position statement telling their audience what they want.
Example: I think our third grade needs a longer lunch.
The BOTTOM four thought bubles are where the student makes reasons for taking the position he or she did. These are normally opinions that later are supported in their drafts with clear evidence or PROOF to help form valid arguments.
Example: We eat way too fast during lunch time.
We do not get enough time to eat.
We are wasting money.
We need time to talk to our friends.
