This is a 10 lesson persuasive writing unit, and is based on a variety of read-aloud books, oral activities and writing lessons. It includes a diagnostic task, a rubric, read aloud lessons with follow up tasks, group activities and a final task. It also includes ideas for linking persuasive writing to art and media literacy. This is also includes a lesson on informational texts and making jot notes. Ideal for grades 3-5. It includes student response pages and a rubric for diagnostic/final assessment!
