Mad Libs meets persuasive writing to help students with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, or ELL students participate in the challenging task of writing persuasive essays. Students are provided sentence stems and fill-in-the-blank segments that guide them through THEIR opinion choice of the persuasive topic of whether or not cell phones should be permitted in the classroom or not. A summary of "research" is also provided so these students can focus on the task of writing.
This resource is designed for students who need modifications to the curriculum. We all wonder how to modify persuasive essays for students whose disabilities or language proficiency limits them. This is the solution.
