Students will quickly reinforce vocabulary by playing, Pesca, otherwise known as Go Fish.
-The game is played with 3-6 players.
-The dealer deals 5 cards to each player. The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile in the middle and are not the Pesca pile.
-The player with the shortest hair goes first and then play proceeds to the left.
-The first player asks another player, “¿Tienes la manzana?” The other player responds with either, “Sí, yo tengo la manzana” or “No, no tengo la manzana.” If the player does have the card the first player may take it only if they can translate the card’s meaning. If the player fails to do so the player who was asked can claim the card. If the other player does not have the card the first player is asking for, he or she then says, “Pesca”. The player then drawers one card and adds it to his or her cards.
-When players make a pair they place the cards face up in front of them.
-The player with the most pairs wins.
