This set of slides and guided notes is an easy-to-follow and quick resource perfect for an introduction to organic and conventional agriculture. The slides include easy-to-read definitions as well as pro/con lists for both organic farming and conventional, pesticide containing farming. Anything typed in orange is what I tell my students is "most important" to have in their notes, and is matched with the blanks on the guided notes (perfect for students with IEPs, 504s, or for students who struggle with English).
As a teacher in Indiana, this slideshow is aligned to the following 2016 Indiana Environmental Science Standard:
Env.5.4 Describe, provide examples, and contrast GMO products, organic products, and conventional products. Describe and explain the environmental concerns associated with GMOs.
