Product Description

Help your students STOP saying "I wuv my bue soes" and start saying "I love my blue shoes" with this new Pete the Cat unit! With 8 different activities targeting articulation, receptive comprehension/sequencing/sorting/matching/following directions/object function, and expressive retelling/sentence structure/requesting goals, you'll be sure to meet all your students goals while having fun with NO PREP AT ALL! Activities include:

1. Articulashoes: Grab your artic cards & have students roll a dice to say that many words. Then they may color that many shoes. First to 50 wins! Target: artic, phonology, turn taking

2. Wh Questions/Bingo: For older students, have them write their answers on page 4. For Bingo, ask a question then students can cover the answer on their bingo board. The first to 4 in a row wins. Or play for blackout. Target: Wh questions, comprehension, inferencing, writing

3. Sequence: Have students cut & paste the story images on numbers 1-6 in order of the story. Then have them retell the story with the pictures. Target: sequencing, story comprehension, story retell, sentence structure

4. Story Elements: Have students cut out the 7 pictures then sort by character, setting, problem, and resolution. Target: categorizing, story comprehension, story elements, Wh- words

5. Following Directions Coloring Page: Print out the shoe coloring page 13, then read the directions one at a time and provide prompts to help them achieve success. You can also use the coloring page supports to target requesting. Target: 1-2 step directions, requesting

6. CV and CVC Coloring Words: Print out the CV & CVC words and have students produce the words as they color each picture. Target: CV and CVC words, final sounds, vocabulary

7. Sorting/Negation: For pages 16-19, have students follow the prompt (e.g., circle all the things that are red). For students working on negation, you can have them cross out the things that are NOT red. Then have them verbally fill in the sentence blank. Target: categorizing, matching, negation, sentence structure

8. Object Function Verbs: have students draw a line from the item to it’s appropriate category/function. Then have them verbalize a complete sentence about each match. Target: object function, -ing verbs, matching, sorting, sentence structure

Suddenly "Pe da tat" will become "Pete the Cat" in no time ;)
