This cute story by Eric Litwin tells the story of a time when Santa was too sick to deliver the presents. Pete the Cat saves the day!
In this Reader's Theater, there are four speaking roles. However, there is also room for 5 chorus members. There's a little jingle to sing throughout the script, so you may decide if you'd just like the speakers to sing and not have a chorus, or just the chorus to sing, or the chorus and the speakers, or the whole class! You'll need to listen to the story on YouTube to hear the tune. It's cute!
There are speaker role names that may be hole-punched at the top, threaded with yarn, and used as a name necklace. Or, you may cut a long strip of construction paper, attach the speaker name, and make a headband. I always copy these on cardstock first.
Feel free to make any changes you would like! I hope you have fun with this!
