The bundle includes ALL of my Peter and the Wolf Activities into 1! $19.50 value! The files included are:
Peter and the Wolf Bingo
: This is a little review Bingo game I created to go along with the story "Peter and the Wolf" The pdf includes 10 different bingo cards, teacher cards (what you pick to ask the students), and a teacher card to keep track of the character or instruments you've already chosen (there are multiple questions or listening examples for each).
Peter and the Wolf Character Matching Game
: This game is to help students review what instruments match up with what characters in the story peter and the wolf. The students play memory but instead of matching two cards that are the same they match the character with its' instrument or the instrument with the character.
Peter and the Wolf Instrument Family Matching Game
: This is a game I use to help review the instruments used in the piece Peter and the Wolf. Students play memory but instead of matching two cards that are the same, students match an instrument card to the name of the instrument family it belongs to or the other way around.
Peter and the Wolf PowerPoint Mini Quizzes
: This PowerPoint can be used as a whole class activity using SMART Board or using a projector or individually with students on their own computer. This PowerPoint provides three mini-quizzes to help students review visually identifying instruments of the orchestra, aurally identifying instruments of the orchestra, and identifying the different themes in Peter and the Wolf.
Peter and the Wolf- What Do You Hear?
: This activity is to help students practice identifying instruments of the orchestra by sound. Students listen to a recording and circle the instrument they hear, what instrument family it belongs in, and what character it represents in Peter and the Wolf. Then students are able to draw a picture of the instrument and the Peter and the Wolf Character in the box.
Peter and the Wolf Listening Glyphs
: I created these to go along with the different character themes from the piece "Peter and the Wolf". While playing the character theme students color the parts of the character based on what they are hearing. (fast vs. slow, loud vs soft, voices vs. no voices, etc.) This activity really helps students work on their active listening skills while having fun coloring a picture. Older students should be able to do this activity on their own however, younger students may need more guidance and help to follow along.
This file includes:
- 7 different listening glyphs for the 7 characters of "Peter and the Wolf" (Peter, Grandfather, Bird, Cat, Duck, Wolf, Hunters)
*listening examples are NOT included in this file*
Peter and the Wolf Coloring Pages
I created these coloring pages to go with my other Peter and the Wolf activities. There are two types of coloring pages:
- Just the character
- The character and the instrument that represents it.
Have students color these pages while listening to the piece of music, have as an extension activity if students finish early, or use as an activity for a substitute teacher.
