To evaluate the qualities and characteristics of great leaders.
1 and 1/2 class periods
Students work individually during class time and use their critical thinking skills to answer nine questions regarding the qualities and characteristics of "great" people and leaders. Questions 6-9 specifically deal with Peter the Great, who ruled Russia from 1682 to 1725.
With 10 minutes to go in the period, you can discuss with the class their answers to questions 1-5. Responses to 6-9 can be discussed at the beginning of the next class.
