I created this assignment to go along with the PhET simulation. The simulation has four activities that address the following:
Activity A: How does temperature affect the Kinetic Energy of a gas when volume is constant?
Activity B: How does volume affect the temperature of a gas?
Activity C:How does volume affect the pressure of a gas?
Activity D Challenge " Let's Blow this Pop Stand!" - Students are asked to hypothesize two ways to blow the lid off the test area and test out their ideas.
I intentionally did not use the terms "Charles Law." "Boyles Law" etc. They can be added or you can just use this as an introduction to the topic.
