Students will complete two activities as a prewriting for a phase autobiography (personal narrative) essay. First, they will spend 10 minutes writing anything they can remember about a specific moment in their life and how it impacted them as a person. After writing, students will highlight/underline major events within this memory. On the second page (back side), they will break down the memory into three events, each with specific feelings and emotions described in detail. They will use their chart to help construct the body paragraphs of their writing.
