A great way for teachers / students to get together during lunch to talk (NOT about work). Participants get together and listen to a podcast or watch an interesting video. Then discuss...(a great way to keep learning!)
Kind of like a book club, but easier.
Once a month participants will get together during lunch to ponder a certain philosophical (or cultural) idea or question. There will be a leader for each lunch session. The leader’s responsibilities include the following:
==> Come with an audio clip (podcast) or video that can be absorbed in around 20-minutes. Or, the leader can read a selection aloud. It should be something the leader finds interesting or relevant.
==> The leader brings lunch for the group. It doesn’t have to be fancy (chili in a crockpot or sandwiches is perfect).
The leader explains why he or she chose his or her topic. A discussion doesn’t need to take place. The leader simply brings an idea to think about. Minimal preparation is the key.
