Discuss any moral dilemma! Use this graphic organizer +lesson pack I created to conduct an ethics or student advisory lesson based on ANY moral dilemma or problem.

I teach ethics with my students and often when we are confronted with a tough moral problem - like the Trolley Problem - I use this graphic organizer and accompanying materials to lead a discussion on the gist of the problem and to identify the main components of the ethical dilemma.

This resource works with any topic you are discussing in class.

  • 1 Graphic Organizer - "The Three Elements of a Moral Act"
  • 1 Suggested Lesson Plan and Guidelines to use this resource with your students
  • 1 Sample Work provided
  • 1 Four-point Grading Rubric
  • 1 Exit Ticket to check for understanding
  • 1 Bibliography for further research

If you are teaching the following topics - this resource is an instant 1.5 hour lesson ready-to-go:

  1. Introduction to Ethics
  2. Student Advisory on Complex Moral Issues
  3. Current Events
  4. Utilitarianism
  5. Deontology and Kantian Ethics
