Philosophy of Rugged Individualism Presidential Campaign Speech Primary Source Activity
by President Hoover in 1928 teaches students the philosophy of President Hoover and the Republican party in the years following WWI, which ultimately led to landslide victory of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Democratic Party. This activity consists of one full page front and back of Hoover’s speech. The analysis is also a full page front and back. The entire activity takes a period long to complete. This can be used in class or as homework as it’s a completely stand alone assignment. This is also perfect for substitute teacher plans. And of course, a key is included.
