This is a reproducible handout or packet of information teachers can give to students. It contains background information about writing a phobia short story which incorporates research. Included in this handout are the project requirements for writing a 3-5 page short story incorporating a character who has to deal with a extreme phobia in their lives. This writing assignment can be used in either a Creative Writing or Language Arts class. This type of project is perfect for teachers who want to incorporate more technology into the classroom.
It can be modified for grades 7-12.
For students, the objectives of this assignment include:

â€¢using new and existing story writing knowledge to create a story based upon a phobia
