Product Description

I can’t wait to hear how this works out for everyone! My students love this! It is useful in reading skills, listening skills, administrative procedures, business management, ethics, and more!

Here is how it works: There are two pages of scripted assignment directions, clearly labeled Part 1 and Part 2. Students work in pairs to complete Part 1. WHILE WORKING ON PART 1, the teacher or an assigned student will randomly signal a phone ring. This can be done my calling a landline from a cell phone or just by playing a ring tone from a cell phone. Any way you choose, make the sound of a REAL PHONE RING! This adds to the real life effect of the simulation.

Each time the “phone rings,” about every 4-6 minutes, each pair of students stops working on Part 1, and moves to work on the items in Part 2, individually. Once both people are finished with one bullet item on Part 2, they resume working on Part 1 as a pair until the next time the “phone rings.”

Students will need writing paper for Part 1 and some Phone Message forms for Part 2. I have included some that you can provide or they are affordable at the dollar store.

Since the students do not have to write on these worksheets, I recommend making copies on cardstock and putting them in sheet protectors to be used repeatedly.
