This is a maze designed to be part of a phoneme addition lesson, not an entire lesson in itself.
a. Handout the maze worksheet.
b. Ask the student(s) to identify the lips image.
c. Ask the students to follow the path to the next set of images.
d. Sound out a /s/ to add to the beginning of the word from the previous image (/s/ + lip = slip).
e. Ask the students to identify the new image.
f. Repeats steps ‘c-e’ until the maze has been navigated.
The order goes: lip - slip - slipper - slippers
