This is a fun game to help students who struggle with their phoneme segmentation. The file contains simple words to help with phoneme sounds. For durability, print on cardstock and laminate. To play, put all cards (including phoneme words and buzz cards) into some sort of jar or container (I used an old coffee bean container). Have the students sit in a circle around the jar and one at a time, the students pick a card and say the phoneme sounds of the word on their card. If they are right, they keep the card and the next student takes a turn. If they are wrong, they put the card back in the jar and mix it up. If a student gets a buzz card, all of the cards they have accumulated get put back into the jar and it's the next students turn.
