Young learners need Phoneme segmentation practice in order to develop essential writing skills. They need to break down words they hear in order to write them. They also need to identify the letters that represent the sounds they hear in words. Students who have strong phonological awareness skills demonstrate better literacy skills.
This set is designed to practice this all important phonological awareness skill. The word card activities focus on breaking up words into sounds (phoneme segmentation). It consists of 51 colorful cards that feature pictures of word with blends, dots and the word for the picture.
They allow the students to “stretch” each word by placing a finger on each dot as each sound is said, they will then place their fingers on the arrow to blend them back together.
You will receive:
-51 color cards with picture, word and dots -51 color cards without the words
