Description
This Stretchy Snake Words activity practices phoneme segmentation, blending sounds and aligns with Science of Reading SOR principles.
It's the perfect tool to teach segmenting and blending sounds to decode words. This bundle contains two of my Stretchy Snake Words packs:
Level 1: CVC words
Level 2: Blends, Digraphs, and Diphthongs
It works wonderfully for small group RTI on letter/sound relationship and decoding.
*Please note: CVC, Blend, and Digraph Cards contain words with SHORT vowel sounds.
Cards are pulled out one letter/blend/digraph at a time. Students will say sound upon seeing the letters and blend sounds to read the word. Card can be pulled all the way out to see the picture and check.
