Product Description

These highly engaging interactive Phoneme Substitution games will definitely excite your students as they practice substituting sounds in words. Interactive games make learning fun, and, students who are having fun while learning, are more motivated to pay attention and stay focused on the subject.

What is included in this digital resource?⭐

There are three separate PowerPoint games included in this download; one for substituting beginning sounds, one for substituting middle sounds, and one for substituting final sounds.

✅Beginning Sounds Substitution Game: 75 slides {There are five separate games, one for each vowel.}

✅Middle Sounds Substitution Game: 50 slides

✅Final Sounds Substitution Game: 50 Slides

➤Total Number of Interactive Slides: 175

These games include clickable transitions with fun sound effects. Students will hear chimes, clicks, and boings, as they transition through the slides.

I included 14 different recording sheets. There are 10 recording sheets for substituting beginning sounds (two for each short vowel), two recording sheets for substituting middle sounds, and two recording sheets for substituting final sounds.

Just in case you've never added PowerPoint presentations to your student iPads, I included explicit directions on how to do this, along with picture support.

What do I need to use this resource?⭐

I created these games in PowerPoint, so if you want your students to hear the fun sound effects as they click through the slides, they will need to play the games on a device that has PowerPoint installed. Students can use a desktop computer, laptop, or iPad. You can project the games using a document camera or smart board, as well.

How could I use these games with my students?⭐

These interactive games are great for whole group lessons on your smart board or document camera, or, on individual computers or devices, during center time or during your reading groups. They are also great for morning arrival work, and, anytime you need your students active and engaged. Once you model how to play the games, students will be able to play them independently. Over and over again!

What grade were these games created for?⭐

I created these games with kindergartners in mind. However, any student, in any grade, who needs extra practice sounding out words, will greatly benefit from these games.
