✅How can I teach phonemic awareness when I only have a few minutes each day?
The word list cards are perfect for those times when you have a few minutes to fill. Use them when waiting in lines for lunch, recess or before leaving for specials. Use them to dismiss students - they have to give a rhyming word or blend a word you segment before they can go. There are so many ways to sneak in additional practice. They are also perfect to use during directed instruction at the guided reading table or during shared reading for a warm-up.
