Phonemic Awareness Activities & Interventions - Winter Bundle (Dec, Jan & Feb)

This is a complete set of three months (December, January & February) of original Common Core aligned phonemic awareness curriculum...NO PREP, NO PRINT. If you use our scripted phonemic awareness activities daily in your classroom (which requires about 10 minutes a day at least 4 days a week) you will see amazingly ridiculous phonemic awareness growth in your students. The practice of these skills is tried and true, used in K and first grade classrooms at my school. This curriculum is based on 16 phonological awareness skills that we have identified in the Common Core for ELA. The activities/lessons are topic-based, meaning the words and phrases for the phonemic awareness lessons (which we call "listening games") are based on science & social studies topics from your monthly curricular themes. This curriculum was written around the Kindergarten and First Grade Common Core standards and skills including the Common Core document, Appendix A, based on phonemic awareness research and the general progression of phonological awareness skills in the foundational reading process. This curriculum is also appropriate for Pre-K and anyone working in a teaching capacity with K or 1st grade students.

The Winter bundle includes twelve weeks of lessons based on the following holiday and curricular theme related topics for the months of December, January & February. This product is a 25% discount over purchasing these months individually.

These scripted lessons are NO PREP & NO PRINT. You *can* for a para-pro or a parent volunteer OR teach them yourself by emailing the file to your iPad and opening up the file in iBooks.

These lessons can also be used for phonemic awareness interventions. Directions for doing so and a progress monitoring documentation sheet is included in the download.

If you are familiar with our work, these lessons are in the same style as the rest of the lessons in our store, just not read-aloud dependent. No other books needed to implement these daily phonemic awareness lessons.
