The activities on the Phonemic Awareness Flip Cards are one way to help build phonemic awareness. There are eight types of phoneme manipulations included: isolation, identity, categorization, blending, segmentation, deletion, addition, and substitution.
Each type of manipulation contains four narrow pages (11 x 2.75") - over 500 examples in all, ready for you to use. Perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade and older, less accomplished readers.
Print on card stock, cut into thirds, and punch a hole in the upper left corner. Secure with a binder ring. Hang them near the door and take them with you. They are designed to be used “on the run” during the few minutes you have before school dismissal or while waiting for a special-area class. Make use of every minute and make it fun!
