Do you find yourself scrambling to brainstorm CVC, CVCC, CCVC, or CCCVC words on the fly? Do you wonder what order of difficulty to rank the above mentioned word types? Have a ton of random word lists stuffed into a reference folder somewhere? Here is an organized and very comprehensive set of leveled word lists ready to go up your "teacher sleeve!"

In addition to the word lists, I have included a successful, research based, and RTI friendly segmenting activity for your students called, "Stamp It! Write It!" It's a segmenting strategy that utilizes Elkonin box research as a foundation. It's a solid RTI technique for students who are on the cusp of sounding out words independently and need focused, explicit instruction in Segmenting and phonological awareness.

Strong phonemic awareness skills lead to higher Phoneme Segmentation Fluency on DIBELS. Make sure your Kindergarten and First Grade students receive a solid foundation in segmenting this school year.

Year after year my class of English Language Learner students blow me away with how strong their segmenting and inventive spelling skills become by the end of the first quarter. I have put together my secrets into this bundle. Directions are enclosed.
