This Smartboard file was designed for students in the letter-name (short vowels) level of developmental spelling. It contains 7 interactive slides with mostly short O words/pictures (a few long O pictures were used to contrast with the short O pictures). In addition, there is a worksheet attached using the pictures from the slides and Elkonin boxes. Teachers can use this as an assessment, seatwork, or have students follow along as the slides are completed.
I designed it as a center, so the first two slides are all the pictures used throughout the file so that I can review them with the students before centers. This ensures that they will not interrupt me to ask about them.I used this center all week for the students at this level. It took them a little while to complete the activities. The slides are also excellent for whole class interactive activities. The sample file shows all of the slides so you know what you are paying for. I spent hours searching for pictures and perfecting these activities.
