Description
Word study matters. Explicit and systematic phonics instruction is critical for our emerging readers. Direct instruction has to be a component of our reading blocks, as well as, opportunities for students to use and apply sounds.
This bundle includes:

In each resource you will find 16 Read-the-Room cards, three differentiated recording sheets, and an exit slip for assessment.
These 6 scoots would work as a whole-class activity or be a great practice activities during your literacy block. I use these hunts during our Daily 5 block as a Word-Work choice. I keep my recording logs in colored folders. Students know when they go to Word Work to take a recording sheet out of the green (Level 1), yellow (Level 2), or blue (Level 3) folder.
Students love hunting our room for the skills we are learning. It keeps students up and moving – which is perfect for our primary classrooms.
