This pack includes 25 phonics decodable reading passages covering the phonics focused concept: diphthongs. These phonics based reading passages are great to use with your early readers who are working on decoding words. Aligned to the Science of Reading, students will focus on decoding words for the phonics pattern.

Each phonics reading passage includes an initial word work practice where students will decode the words with diphthongs prior to reading in context. Students will then read the passage, decoding the same words with diphthongs and reading sight words, in context. After, students will practice writing the words with diphthongs when responding to the comprehension questions.

2. Black & White printer-friendly format, with just the decodable reading passage and pictures (Passages have larger print size and more spacing between the lines.) This format is great for introducing the text, or if you are looking for some extra practice with just the phonics concepts, in context.
3. Full Page, colorful format, of the decodable reading passage. This is great for projecting in your classroom, or on your computer.
