This is my FAVORITE product! Often times alphabet sounds and spelling lessons are taught in weekly lessons and it is hard to go back and review previous lessons. This allows you to introduce the alphabet sound of the week or spelling lesson of the week AND add a flashcard to your class deck. These can then be easily reviewed and not forgotten whenever you have an extra 5 minutes. You can also print multiple sets to allow for differentiation in small groups (your small group might be ahead of or behind your whole class deck).
Over 400 flashcards! Use and print what works for your pk-4 or special needs classroom!
The flashcards include the letters and phonics concepts for blends, bossy r, magic e, h brothers, vowel teams, consonant clusters, final stable syllables, etc.
Flashcards come with keyword pictures or other clues to help students lock it into their memory! Other hints on cards for students include a bowl to remind students when to blend sounds (like mixing up cookie dough), ghosts for silent letters, underlined letters when two or more letters make one sound (th, oo, etc.).
The flashcards also come in multiple ways for differentiation. The first set has picture keywords for when you first introduce the concept. The second set includes coding on vowels for teachers that teach students to code vowels with a breve or macron. The third set includes flashcards without anything - this allows you to trade out the one with the picture to verify mastery.
I included two files in this download. One has four flashcards on a page if you want larger flashcards. One has six per page if you want to save on your color ink! These should be printed on card stock and laminated so you can reuse them year after year!
Also take a look at my matching Phonics Anchor Charts & Posters, Alphabet Wall Cards, AND Alphabet & Phonics Linking Charts.
On our school campus all the grades use these to help align what students are learning. When students have reached 2nd grade they have already heard and seen the same keywords for their letters and phonics in pre-K, kinder and first!!!
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you ENJOY them!
