Turn a Dollar Store photo album into a phonics literacy center that can be used again and again! Use this activity to foster phonics skills and phonemic awareness
in your little scholars. Simply print, cut, and insert the pictures into a small $1 4x6 photo album (or you can laminate them and put them on a binder ring). Your little scholars can use a dry erase marker to erase their work when they are finished!
I’ve included an “I Can…” card to foster independence! The directions are as easy as 1, 2, 3. First, students say the picture name. Next, they stretch the word out using a slinky (or their hands) as they listen for all the sounds in the word. Finally, students write the word in the space provided. The best part about this center is that it is self-correcting—students just flip the page to check their work!

-Over 60 cards (enough for 3 unique flipbooks)
