Turn a Dollar Store photo album into a phonics literacy center that can be used again and again! Use this activity to foster phonics skills and phonemic awareness
in your little scholars. Simply print, cut, and insert the pictures into a small $1 4x6 photo album (or you can laminate them and put them on a binder ring). Your little scholars can use a dry erase marker to erase their work when they are finished!
I’ve included an “I Can…” card to foster independence! The directions are as easy as 1, 2, 3. First, students say the picture name. Next, they listen for the ending sound. Finally, students write the letter that makes the ending sound in the space provided. The best part about this center is that it is self-correcting—students just flip the page to check their work!
-I Can Card
-Over 60 cards (enough for 3 unique flipbooks!)
