Phonics Freebie Turkey
Digraphs Circle Craftivity
This would be a fun activity for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade. Pre-K may not know about digraphs yet, but listening to initial sounds and sorting out the two that begin alike and the one that doesn't match is such an important skill. This is phonemic awareness. This is teaching toward that so important skill of learning to listen and match pictures that begin with the same sound!
Students will be reviewing the four digraphs: wh, th, sh, and ch in the initial sound positions of words and getting to color an adorable turkey.
Easy directions are given to trace the digraph letters on each page and color the pictures that begin with the digraph sound while Xing out the picture that doesn't belong. Finally, after cutting the circle pages out, students will stack and glue them together forming a turkey
