Phonics Fun with Syllables Ending in -le
Phonics Fun with Syllables Ending in -le (ble, ple, tle, dle, etc.) is designed to give students multiple approaches to learning how to decode words with syllables that end in -le. While decoding -le syllables, students will also be reviewing Vc phonograms and learn how phonograms/chunks signal syllable division.
This is a 23-page packet that includes reading pages, Mystery Words (pages where the student has to figure out the correct word ending), flipbooks and writing worksheets.
Emphasis is placed on dividing words into syllables and phonogram recognition.
Many students whole-word memorize words ending in -le. This packet is designed to assist the student in understanding that these words are composed of a simple Vc chunk followed by a -le syllable and are easily decodable.
