*Interactive Notebook Letter Identification:This is a 136 page interactive notebook that focusses on the concept of letter recognition of uppercase and lowercase letters. It is a great resource for morning work, literacy stations, or small group RTI.
There are 3 different activities:
-Students are given letters and they must sort them according to which letter they are working on for the day. There is an uppercase and lowercase page for each letter. They are separated every 4 letters by a flip book activity. I normally have students work a lowercase and uppercase letter Monday through Thursday and the flip book as a review on Friday.
-The next activity is the letter flip book. Every 4 letters students are given a review flip book where they must sort the lowercase letters and match them with the corresponding uppercase letter. This is what I normally use to review on Fridays.
-The last activity students are given a flap that has either an uppercase or lowercase letter and they must WRITE the corresponding lowercase or uppercase letter underneath it.
This is great for the beginning of the school year and should supply over 2 months worth of work depending on how it is used.

*Letter Find:This product is a great resource for Daily 5, Literacy Stations, Morning Work, and Homework!
On each page students must find a certain letter by highlighting or circling it.
Every page of the product contains an "I can" statement and a place for students to count how many of the letter they found.
Here are the instructions:
Have students circle or highlight all of the letters. I normally make this product into a book for my students so they can work on it at their own pace. You could laminate and have students use a dry erase marker if you want to reuse. Differentiation Higher: Students find all the uppercase letters in one color and lowercase in another.Differentiation Lower: Tell students how many letters are on that page so they know how many to look for.
*Letter Recognition Circle Maps:Check out a free sample of this product in my store!
Students are asked to trace and write each uppercase and lowercase letter and then sort pictures with the same beginning sound.
This is a great resource for morning work, homework, RTI activities, and literacy station activities.
*ABC Memory:This is a quick and easy game that will allow students to work on identifying and matching uppercase and lowercase letters. The game follows the same rules as Memory or Concentration. Students simply turn all of the cards face down and match the uppercase and lowercase letters. For an easier version the cards could be face up and students could match the letters that way.
There are different options when printing and putting together this product. It is purposefully made in black in white so that a colored printer is not required.
Print on regular white paper and laminate
Print on colored paper and laminate to jazz it up
Print uppercase letters on one color paper and lowercase on a different color to make the game easier
A title label is included. I normally store the game in a Ziplock bag that has the actual zipper on it and tape the label to the front.
Finally, there is a recording sheet for students to record the matches and practice their handwriting. This page could also be laminated and kept in a station for additional practice.
