This bundle includes three phonics notebooks: 1.) Individual Letter Sounds; 2.) Two- and Three-Letter Consonant Blends; and 3.) Vowel Teams, Diphthongs, Digraphs, R-Controlled, and Silent/Magic E! Please see the descriptions of each product below and the preview for a good look at the whole package and how the pages are to be completed!
For all of the notebook pages, the content is shifted over a bit so that the pages can be copied back-to-back, hole-punched, and look nice in a folder with clasps or in a binder. A cover page is included. These pages can also be used in plastic sheet protectors and used with a dry erase marker.
1. Individual Letter Sounds
This product contains one page for each letter of the alphabet, and the letters progress in the order that they are introduced in the Jolly Phonics program. These pages contain short, simple tasks that help our little ones with letter recognition, letter formation, letter sounds, beginning sounds, and blending cvc words.
2. Two- and Three-Letter Beginning Consonant Blends
These blend notebook practice pages are filled with short, simple tasks that help our little ones with recognizing blends orally, blending the individual letter sounds within 2- and 3-letter blends, reading words with blends (with short vowels), spelling words with blends (with short vowels), and comprehending a sentence that contains a word with a blend. There is one page per blend (26 total).
The pages go in a specific order so that the blends already introduced are reviewed as the pages proceed. The order is as follows: bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl, br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, tr, sc, sk, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, tw, spl, scr, str, spr, squ.
3. Vowel Teams, Diphthongs, Digraphs, R-Controlled, and Silent/Magic E
This resource provides targeted practice for vowel teams, diphthongs, digraphs, r-controlled sounds, and silent/magic e! The sounds progress in the order that they are introduced in the Jolly Phonics program and also include the alternative spellings for the sounds (along with a few extra sounds I added!). There is one page per sound (39 total, see below), and the pages are filled with short, simple tasks that include recognizing the sounds orally, practicing the isolated sounds, reading words with the sounds, spelling words with the sounds, and comprehending a sentence that contains a word with the sound. A cover page and sound chart are also included, to place at the front. The sound chart is to be filled in as sounds are learned.
The sounds included are in order as follows: ai, oa, ie, ee, or, ng, oo (book), oo (moon), ch, sh, th, wh, shr, thr, ou, oi, ue, er, ar, a_e, i_e, o_e, u_e, ay, ea, -y (long e), ey, igh, -y (long i), ow (snow), ew, ui, ir, ur, oy, ow (cow), au, aw, al.
