Letter Cards (black and white)
Includes: 26 uppercase letter cards
26 lowercase letter cards
Variety of Uses:
-Teach and assess letter recognition and sounds
-Match uppercase and lowercase letters (could make it a memory game)
-Sort letters by uppercase/lowercase and vowel/consonant
-Use the cards to make words

Letter Cards (in color)
Includes: 26 Doggy uppercase letter cards
26 Dog bone lowercase letter Cards
Variety of Uses:
-Identify uppercase and lowercase letters
-Match uppercase letters to lowercase letters (could make it a memory game)
-Sort letters by uppercase/lowercase and vowel/consonant

*Doghouse game
Pass out letter cards, call out a letter, and the student with that card "puts the doggy in the doghouse" (uppercase letters) or "feeds the doggy the bone." (lowercase letters)
OR
Small Group/Centers: Use both uppercase and lowercase letters. Sort them into two piles. One pile should be kept stacked up, and the other should be spread out so that all of the letters can be seen. Students take turns drawing a card from the stack and finding the
matching letter. Then, they put the doggy and his bone in the doghouse. Play continues until all of the letters have been used. Students could also play a memory match game.

Phonics Matches
Includes: 4 different Phonics Match picture activity pages
Answer keys to each of the Phonics Match pages
Uppercase and lowercase letter cards
Prepare:
-Use with small groups, centers, individuals, partners, or one-on-one instruction
-Students look at the pictures, name the pictures, determine which beginning letter sound the pictures make, find the matching letter card, and place the letter card over the picture it matches.
-You may choose to have students check their own work with the answer key.

Phonics Posters
Includes: 26 full page posters with colored pictures (one for each letter of the alphabet, includes pictures for both long and short vowel sounds)
-Use the pages to make a phonics book
OR
-Hold up the poster. Make the letter sound and have the class listen and then repeat the sound(s). Name the pictures and emphasize the letter sound. Have students name the pictures. Use the posters for introducing or reviewing letter sounds.

Handwriting Pages
Includes: 26 pages w/ uppercase & lowercase letters to trace & write
*Black and white/grayscale to save on color ink!
*Large print for early learners
*For single use or reusable
-Model tracing and writing the letters. Point out the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters. Discuss the lines (top, middle, bottom, or whatever terms you use) and how letters are written on them.
-Review the letter sound by pointing out the picture at the bottom of the page. Students can color the picture, if desired.

Beginning Letter Phonics Pages
Includes: 7 activity sheets with four items on each
*Black and white to save on color ink!
*Lined space to practice forming the letters correctly
*For single use or reusable

-These pages should be used after students have learned the letter sounds.
-Make sure students know what the pictures are so that you can accurately assess their understanding.
-Name the pictures and ask the students to write the letter that matches the sound they hear.
-If you are assessing only the letter sounds, you may wish to have a chart of the alphabet letters visible to help the students remember how to write them. If you would like to assess both the writing of the letter and the knowledge of the sound, do not use an alphabet chart.
-The pages could be completed together in a whole group, in a small group, or one-on-one with an instructor.

Cut and Paste Phonics by Letter
Includes: 26 cut and paste activity pages
*Black and white/grayscale to save on color ink!
*Provides cutting and gluing practice
-Use for morning work, classroom practice, or homework
-Students cut out the pictures that match the given letter sound and glue the pictures into boxes on the page.
-You may need to tell students ahead of time what the pictures are or help them if they are unsure of a picture.
*Note: Each page contains pictures that do not match the letter sound.

Find the Letter
Includes: 3 beginning letter sound identification pages
*Black and white/grayscale to save on color ink!
*For single use or reusable
-Students identify the beginning sound of each picture, and then circle the letter that matches

Letter Find
Includes: 2 ending letter sound identification activity pages
(b, d, g, l, m, n, p, r, t, and x)
*Black and white/grayscale to save on color ink!
-Students identify the ending sound of each picture, and then circle the letter that matches (you can also have them write the letter on the blank, if you wish)
